Good News! Travis Barker was released from the hospital today and is recovering at home. Travis had posted a myspace blog update on his condition to his fans.

Earlier this morning, Travis Barker told fans he was "healing up quickly" and would be out of the hospital "b4 you know it."

He wasn't kidding.

On Friday, exactly four weeks after surviving a private plane crash, the former Blink-182 drummer was released from Sherman Oaks' Grossman Burn Center, the Los Angeles-area facility where he has been receiving treatment since Sept. 29.

The 32-year-old rocker will continue his recovery at home and has requested privacy while he continues to recover from the second- and third-degree burns he sustained in the Sept. 19 Learjet crash. source

Former Blink 182 Drummer Travis Barker sent a heartfelt message to his fans that he is still recovering from his tragic plane crash which killed 4 people. The deadly accident left Travis Barker and DJ AM critically injured with severe third degree burns. Travis is grateful to be alive but the crash has left him with a fear of flying. Barker is now preparing for his 7th surgery. Barker and DJ AM are expected to fully recover from their injuries. We are saddened by the tragedy and send prayers to the families of Travis and DJ AM . Travis Barker's Famous Stars and Straps clothing label has released a limited-edition T-shirt honoring the drummer's personal assistant, Lil Chris Baker, and security guard Charles Still, all proceeds from which will go toward memorial funds set up for the two men's families.

The black tees, designed by pro skateboarder and Famous Stars manager Felix Arguelles and artist Maxx "maxx242″ Gramajo, will be available online via the label's website starting Oct. 13. source

Travis Barker blasts his ex-wife Shannon Moakler who released a statement after his accident implying that the couple were back together. The divorced couple have 2 kids.

On Aug. 14,2006 – a week after he filed for divorce – Barker, 30, posted a scathing message on his MySpace.com page accusing Moakler, 31, of partying hard, not spending enough time with their kids (Landon, 2, and Alabama, 7 months) and sleeping too much. source

Despite the heavily circulated photograph featuring Shanna Moakler in operating room scrubs, crying uncontrollably while still wearing her wedding band, according to her ex-husband Travis Barker, the 33 year-old former Miss USA and Playboy Playmate's hospital visit may have been more for publicity purposes than anything else.

Said to be back together with the Blink 182 drummer following his survival in last month's Learjet crash outside of Columbia, South Carolina (which claimed the lives of four people) Moakler released a statement days later reading:

"There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this very difficult time. We can only ask for prayers as we heal and mourn the loss of our dear friends who we considered part of our family. Our lives will be changed forever."

I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation. First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy. To call them my employees does them such a disservice, as they were so much more than that. Chris was my best friend before anything else, and I can never put into words how much he will be missed. Che was an amazing person as well, and I was honored to have him in my life.

I am simply amazed and will be forever grateful for all the support everyone has shown to Chris and Che's families. Its a testament to how many lives they touched in a positive way.

Hospital Life!

Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday. Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and Im doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids. Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it. The staff here are all bomb! Dr. Grossman and his staff are the best. The BOSS Barbara, and nurses Betty, Jay , Emily, Julio, Lolita, and Stephanie (with the best scrubs ever!) are all taking the best care of me. source

Travis Barker has opened up on his MySpace blog about surviving a fatal plane crash on September 29. Barker posted a message to his fans on Saturday evening thanking them for their support and paying tribute to his assistant and security guard, who were killed in the crash.

The former Blink 182 drummer escaped the crash with second and third degree burns. “Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday,” he writes.

Barker says his friend DJ AM, who also survived the crash, has been an “inspiration.” “Seeing him after he was discharged was an inspiration. I saw just how awesome the doctor’s work here it, and got to see how well he is doing. I am so happy to see him doing well, and we are both so lucky and grateful that we are alive today,” he said.

"Now Im just counting the days until I can leave. I cant wait to get home to play drums with my son, and go for bike rides with my daughter. I cant wait to see the pictures from Landon's "Jack and Sally Nightmare Before Christmas" birthday party that we had for him today. I am bummed that I couldn't be there, but thank God Ill be around to see many, many more,” Barker added. source
