Robert Pattinson has been named as the 100th Unsexiest Man according to Boston Phoenix because RPatz stinks. Robert Pattinson responded that he does shower, however, there is proof that Pattinson who has been nicknamed "Spunk Ransom" is giving off some smelly funky spunk.
Shhh, don’t Twilight star Robert Pattinson, but the reportedly smelly, hygeine-challenged actor is not actually
a vampire. Of course, that hasn’t stopped this tweenie heartthrob with
the Groucho eyebrows from brooding like a fool at every camera in his
path. He should enjoy the fame, though; it’s inevitable that a younger
Brit fart-throb with even messier hair will take a bite out of this
cornball’s (oc)cult of morbid adolescent fandom sometime soon. [BOSTON PHOENIX]
Robert Pattinson has shot down rumors he's unhygienic - insisting he does shower.
The British actor's hygiene habits were called in to question earlier this week after workers on the Vancouver, Canada set of Twilight sequel New Moon complained Pattinson "completely reeks."
But Robert, 22, is adamant he does keep himself clean.
He says, "I haven't even been on the set yet."
"I also do shower," he added, before joking that he regularly reads his negative press.
"I only look at the negative stuff," he said.
"I just want to know whoever's saying negative stuff, and I just want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book."[SHOWBIZ SPY]
Robert Pattinson told Twilight fans during his Apple Soho store appearance that he never washes his hair. Watch Robert admit on Jay Leno that he has poor personal hygiene and doesn't like to shower or bathe. Guest Heidi Klum took that as a clue to move further away from the heartthrob while sitting on Leno's couch.
Binside TV attended the Twilight DVD release party in New York City. Hundreds of screaming Twilighters played movie trivia games and were treated to a surprise appearance by cast member Edi Gathegi. Edi Gathegi plays Edward Cullen's vampire nemesis Laurent in Twilight and spoke about his experience filming the sequel "New Moon". Robert Pattinson appears on the cover of the latest issue of GQ.
He also made a plea to Stephenie Meyer about his role in Eclipse. Watch Edi dish about Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Miley Cyrus. Stay tuned to Binside TV for more episodes in the Twilight DVD release series. Check out pics from the DVD launch featuring the hands of Twilight and a Twilight internet parody pro. Jacob's "wolf pack" buddies in 'Twilight' sequel 'New Moon' have been announced!
Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman will join Taylor Lautner in the film's La Push nation wolf pack. All of the new castmembers are of Native American or First Nations descent, hailing from the Lakota (Sioux), Cree-Metis, Purepecha (Tarasco), Hualapai and Cree nations respectively.
The young men were cast by Rene Haynes who cast such films as 'Dances with Wolves' and 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.'
In 'New Moon,' Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is faced with a separation from her one and only, vamp Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson), and embarks on a new friendship with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), spending time with him on the La Push reservation, where she encounters his friends in the "wolf pack." Who knew Twilight's fanggirls would sink their teeth so heartily into the vampire saga's DVD release?
Oh, right. Everyone.
The Robert Pattinson adulators were out in full force Saturday for the highly anticipated midnight launch of the film's home video release, buying up more than 3 million copies of the special-edition double-disc on its first day alone. The Top 9 Hottest Vampires Not in Twilight
In addition to silencing any Twilight-fatigued critics, the overwhelming sales haul helped the film enter the record books as one of the top five best first-day DVD releases in the past two years, joining the esteemed company of fellow blockbusters Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Transformers.
Que Bella.
"We are incredibly appreciative that Twilight fans came out to once again support this film at our midnight events across the nation," said Summit Home Entertainment President Steve Nickerson.
"With such a successful first-day sales, it is apparent that our fans remain passionate about the Twilight saga and want to own a piece of the Edward and Bella story they have come to love."
Doing all they could to add to the launch-day buzz, Summit strategically dispatched castmembers to surprise purchase-happy fans at retail locations across the country for the DVD debut, an event dubbed "Twilight at Midnight." source

"Robert Pattinson is Here. Hide Your Daughters," the mag declares.
Sporting a gray jacket, white shirt and black tie, the actor - who shot to fame playing vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight - looks cool, calm and collected as he shows off his trademark messy hair in the publication's "What's Hot in 2009" issue.

Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson has fans in a tizzy after the gorgeous actor cut off his sexy hair. Do you like the new shorter haircut better than the old hairstyle? Binside TV caught up with Twilighter fans who explained their fascination with RPatz's hair which he admitted wasn't being washed for months. We think Rob is still cute! Check out pics of the new haircut.
Despite Twilight's record-breaking $70 million opening — the highest ever for a movie directed by a woman — director Catherine Hardwicke is out for the upcoming sequel. What happened? According to an insider, Catherine clashed with Stephenie Meyers, the author of Twilight and New Moon, who wants the sequel to stay truer to the second book. And Catherine also butted heads with star Robert Pattinson. source
There have been some behind the scenes comments that Catherine Hardwicke's success as a female director on what has turned into a blockbuster series has not caused her to hit a proverbial "glass ceiling" in the industry. There are now rumors that the offer to direct the Twilight sequel has been made to Chris Weitz who directed About a Boy and the Golden Compass.
Yes, he's had tremendous success working with tweens and teens (About A Boy as director and writer, American Pie as producer and uncredited director). But Chris Weitz also did The Golden Compass
(as writer and director), and my source says Summit Entertainment liked
the look of that even if it didn't heat up the domestic box office (but
did better overseas). I don't have official confirmation yet that this Twilight
sequel offer has gone out to Weitz. But my insider says another reason
it came down is because Weitz and Summit's president of production Eric
Feig are longtime pals. The source tells me Weitz is "still
considering" the offer to helm New Moon and possibly also Eclipse
if the sequel and threequel movie adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's
series of vampire books are made back-to-back. But let's also not
forget Weitz's behavior on Golden Compass. On December 15,
2004, Weitz announced his resignation as director of the trilogy,
citing the enormous technical challenges of the epic and later
admitting he was worried about dissing by the book's fans. source
EXCLUSIVE: So the rumors are true. I've confirmed that Summit Entertainment has rejected Twilightdirector
Catherine Hardwicke from heming the sequel in this big new franchise.
No doubt my news will speed up the studio's announcement, and Summit
will surely spin this as all going down amicably along the lines that
"she couldn't fit the film into her time frame". (Summit does want a
ridiculously speeded-up sked for the next installment.) But
this terrible news for Hardwicke comes just as she and the Twilight
cast are on their European press tour. Tomorrow's interviews in France
will now focus entirely on what, if anything, Catherine did to deserve
this treatment. source

Twilight is continuing it's press promotional tour with premieres in the UK, Paris and Germany. The movie has been so successful that the sequel New Moon was greenlit and an Edward and Bella doll line was launched.

A wildly popular vampire love story bit into the box office with a vengeance, helping to deliver a banner weekend for the industry as Hollywood brushed off one of the worst weeks ever on Wall Street.
" Twilight," the film that drew scores of fans of Stephenie Meyer's vampire book series, delivered on the advance hype, generating $70.5 million in domestic box office receipts during its opening weekend, marking the fourth best November opening weekend of all time.
That's an extraordinary result for an independently produced film that cost just $37 million to make and was passed over by Paramount's MTV Films. ndeed, Hollywood was confounded by the popularity of the film, which tells the story of a "Romeo & Juliet" type romance between a mortal and a vampire. Estimates of the movie's opening had ranged wildly from $35 million to $60 million.
"This certainly exceeded our expectations by a great deal," said Richie Fay, president of domestic distribution for Summit Entertainment. "The fan base was huge." Summit is a new independent distributor and finance company that until recently had struggled to establish its footing in Hollywood but now has plenty of bragging rights.
"Twilight" contributed to a strong weekend at the box office, where revenues have been running slightly ahead of last year. The top 12 films grossed $137.6 million, up 16% over the same weekend a year ago, said Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media by Numbers.
"This is another example of how the economy has not slowed people at all from going to watch movies," he said. "We're set up to have one of the biggest Thanksgiving weekends ever." source
Summit Entertainment's low cost blockbuster Twilight opened huge as expected because of heavy pre-sales with $35.8M Friday. But the front-loaded pic dropped a big but expected 41% to $21M Saturday. (Similarly front loaded Sex And The City also had a big Friday to Saturday fall...)With an estimated $13.6M Sunday from 3,419 theaters, including $7M worth of Thursday midnight shows, Twilight will end up with $70.5M for its first North American weekend in release. Exit polling showed audiences were 75%/25% female to male, and 55%/25% under or over the age of 25. Fangirls -- or should I say fang-girls -- were buying 5 Twilight tickets per second as of early Friday morning, making it online ticket-seller Fandango's fastest-selling film since The Dark Knight last July. Then the tween and teen females in store bought or homemade Twilight clothes (and even Twilight tattoos) flocked to the first Big Screen version of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling series of Romeo & Juliet-style vampire romance books. Yet the movie adaptation by Melissa Rosenberg was made by start-up studio Summit for only $37M. This will be the start of a big new franchise since a sequel is already in the works -- New Moon, based on Meyer's second book in the series. The first box office records have already been broken by Twilight's girl power. This is the biggest opening for a female director. Catherine Hardwicke is easily beating Mimi Leder's $41.1M for 1998's Deep Impact. source
Hundreds of midnight screenings of Twilight were sold out around the country. The reviews for the film are mixed but that isn't going to effect the boxoffice. Millions of hormonal female teenage fans of Stephenie Meyer's book and heartthrob Robert Pattinson's sexy hair have made this film critic proof. Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will continue their press tour with Robert's episode with Tyra Banks airing on November 28th. Robert's interview with Ellen Degeneres ended with her presenting him with a pair of "Bite Me" boxer briefs. The Tyra episode involves teeth to neck action when Tyra Banks encourages Robert Pattinson to give her a love bite. Yikes! Kristen Stewart appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman.
For weeks, the fanbase for the Twilight novels has been at a fever pitch waiting for the movie adaptation. Today, their dreams of seeing Edward, Bella, Jacob and the rest of the Twilight troupe on the big screen has come true. According to the long awaited reviews for Twilight, their fanbase should be able to enjoy the show. But for everyone else new to Twilight, the reviews say to stay away.
The reviews for Twilight were supposed to be kept a secret until Thursday, but they gradually came out. Summit Entertainment was suspected to be hiding a bomb, as most studios try to embargo reviews of bad movies until release day. But the Twilight reviews don't outright call the movie a bomb, yet they don't all call it good either.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Twilight has a rotten rating of 44% thus far among critics. Out of 66 Twilight reviews, 29 are positive while 37 are negative, for an average rating of 5.4 out of 10.
The Rotten Tomatoes consensus reads "Having lost much of its bite transitioning to the big screen, Twilight will please its devoted fans, but do little for the uninitiated."
The criticisms for the Twilight movie are matching up with those who criticized the books as a cheesy, Harlequin vampire romance. Aside from coming up with vampire puns to criticize or hail the movie, Twilight reviews are mixed for both the movie and for stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as Bella and Edward. source

This movie going to be HUGE because no one could predict the global phenomenon. We think Robert Pattinson is going to get even more famous because he is this down to earth, shy, singing heartthrob. Girls go crazy over this stuff. Plus, we must also factor in everyone's obsession with Rob's sexy unruly hair. The secret to Rob's crazy locs is that he can go 6 weeks without washing his hair. Maybe the studio will shake up the Footloose casting and throw Rob into the Zac Efron casting mix to takeover the tween boxoffice market. Click here for photos from the Twilight red carpet.
I have never seen anything like this at a movie premiere. Or heard anything like it.
Outside the Twilight world premiere in Los Angeles, there are thousands of fans—they're on every corner in the middle of Westwood Village—and they are loud.
Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight series of books, is drawing screams as she signs autographs and takes pictures as she walks into the theater. Yup, Twilight must be big if teens are screaming at the top of their lungs for a writer.
Who's here? Well a short list includes the film's shriekworthy stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and the band Paramore, who have a song on the soundtrack. Considering the din right now, it better be a loud song.
Mallory Gelineau and Allison Hart, both 14-year-old high schoolers, suffered through a 14-hour road trip with their moms from their homes in Folsom, Calif. “It was one hectic ride,” Gelineau said. “It was originally only supposed to take us 6 or 7 hours to get here, but we tried avoiding the fires...It was bumper to bumper. It took about three hours to go 30 miles.”
Melanie Atkins, 49, and her daughter, Rose, 15, were the first in line. They arrived yesterday at 7 a.m. (um, that's about 36 hours before the premiere even begins). "We slept on the sidewalk in the freezing cold," Melanie said.
And talk about a cool mom. Melanie said she planned on covering for her kid if any teachers asked why her daughter missed school today. "I'm not going to lie," she said. "I'm gonna say that I was out of a town on a trip. I'm just not going to give too many more details."
But so far, it all seems worth it. Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke made a surprise visit last night to the Twi-hard fans. She posed for pics and signed autographs. "It was awesome," Rose said.
And just when you think it's only teenage girls clamoring for a peek and maybe a photo with Pattinson, think again.
Seven thirtysomething members of TwilightMoms.com also staked a claim on the sidewalk. They left their kids home with their dads. “Twilight is just the perfect mix of the good, clean, old-fashioned romance, and awesome fantasy at the same time," said Sarah Clark, 32, of Yorba Linda, Calif. "I just fell in love with the book series instantly.” source
