The legendary funk singer died at 56. Rick James had a long battle with substance abuse. James was convicted in 1993 of assaulting two women. The first case occurred in 1991, when prosecutors said James and his girlfriend tied a woman to a chair, burned her with a hot crack pipe and forced her to perform sex acts during a cocaine binge at his West Hollywood home. He was free on bail when the second assault occurred in 1992 in James’ hotel room. James served more than two years in Folsom Prison. source
The seller has uploaded a few clips from the tape on the internet. The grainy outtakes shot in night vision show the late singer extremely blunted out in the studio smoking mary jane. There are rumors that whoever purchases the tape will also be able to partake in Rick James' sexual exploits. We don't think anyone is quite ready for a sextape from the late "Super Freak" singer Rick James. But we can't help but think about comedian Dave Chapelle's impersonation of the singer. What's our opinion on this matter? Our favorite Rick James quotes from the Chapelle show are "I'm Rick James bitch. Cocaine is a helluva drug." After viewing these clips and pondering this situation we can't help but agree.

A company called AONE Entertainment is reportedly going to be selling said video on eBay to the highest bidder. The video reportedly has Rick’s last recordings with songs like "Good Shit," "Don’t Forget Me, I’m Rick James B***h, " "So Blunted,” I’m just too High" and other colorful songs. The only thing that is the crazy video is not only showing Rick get high, but it allegedly shows him getting his “swerve on” in the studio. That’s right. Doing the wild thing. The nasty. Hittin’ skins. Tappin’ dat! Anyway, check out the videos below and tell me. What you think. I don’t know if you all recall, but AllHipHop.com conducted the very last interview with Rick James prior to his untimely death. When you read this interview, you might think he was assassinated.
