This Summertime music video is an example of Boy Bands Gone Wrong. Why are these grown azz men singing a song that a teenager would sing to his girlfriend? Jesse McCartney or the Jonas Brothers might be able to pull this song off but this is laughable. We got a chuckle just seeing Donnie Walhberg had sprayed on some hair and opened his shirt for the ladies. The New Kids are releasing a new album and are planning a comeback tour. The band reunited in April and performed last night at the 2008 MuchMusic Awards. This is what we have to look forward to in 10 years when NSYNC has a reunion and gives everyone an overdose of Lance Bass jumping up and down while singing "Bye Bye Bye".
The New Kids Today show performance proved that they are worse now than ever before and NKOTB can't sing or dance at all. New Kids on the Block were created in the late 80's by Maurice Star as mainstream knockoffs of the African-American boy band New Edition . Check out the NKOTB's live cringe worthy Today Show performance if you missed seeing how damn horrible these guys were on stage. Watching New Kids perform is like watching a bad celebrity reality show. Why didn't they just have them sing on Don't Forget the Lyrics or the cancelled Z List celebrity karaoke show Hit Me Baby One More Time? The last talented boy band act that we liked was B2K. Omarion, Lil Fizz, J Boog and Raz B could all sing and dance. B2K deserves a second chance because it's a shame to see what happened to them.
Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jordan and Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block are gettin' the band back together, and the quintet went on Today this morning to talk about their upcoming album and hype up their May 16th Today performance live in the Plaza. Joey is still cute, Donnie was wearing a piece with a lace front, Jordan lost the excess weight he had on The Surreal Life, Jonathan was wearing a clear retainer, and Danny continues to be the Ringo of the group. Props to Natalie Morales for having the balls to say, "You guys went from the biggest act around to just disappearing. What happened?" source
