Mark Ruffalo's brother, Scott Ruffalo, died on Monday after what is being reported as a possible self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. According to TMZ the hairstylist shot himself in the head while playing a deadly game of Russian roulette and high on controlled substances. This is so sad. We send our condolences to the family.
Shaha Mishaal Adham, named by police as a 'person of interest' in the case, told police Scott Ruffalo had been playing the deadly game in his apartment and shot himself, according to website TMZ.com.
Shaha Mishaal Adham told police Scott Ruffalo shot himself while playing Russian Roulette
His lawyer Ronald Richards told The New York Daily News last night: 'We expect the coroners report to show the shooting was a result of the victim's chronic playing of Russian Roulette and his dangerous playing with firearms while under the use of controlled substances'.
Adham turned herself in to Beverly Hills police on Tuesday, and reportedly said she had gone to Scott Ruffalo's apartment on Dec 1 to pick up a car.
She was released by police at midnight on Tuesday and has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Her
lawyer Ronald Richards said he presented evidence to detectives during
a five-hour meeting Tuesday night that proved Adham did not shoot Scott
Ruffalo early December 1.
Richards said Adham was a friend of
Scott's who had gone to the hairdresser's home to retrieve keys to her
car. But she fled the grisly scene and was then the subject of a search
by police, who wanted to question her about her involvement.
Lawyer
Richards added: 'A series of wrong decisions starting with her not
staying at the scene of the shooting caused an incredible chain
reaction of stupidity and bad luck.
'This was an accidental shooting by someone that plays with guns', he said.
Another man wanted for questioning, Brian B. Scofield, was released after turning himself in for questioning Monday.
A
spokesman for actor Ruffalo, who has starred in films Zodiac and 13
going on 30, said in a statement: 'Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply
appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most
difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother
and husband.
'The funeral service will be private. A memorial fund has been established in Scott Ruffalo's name. source'
