HILLARY CLINTON LIES ABOUT BOSNIA TRIP CLAIMS SHE MISSPOKE WHEN SAYING SHE DUCKED DANGEROUS SNIPER FIRE IN TUZLA

CNN reports Sen. Hillary Clinton said she "misspoke" last week when she gave a dramatic description of her arrival in Bosnia 12 years ago, recounting a landing under sniper fire.

Clinton was responding to a question Monday from the Philadelphia Daily News' editorial board about video footage of the event that contradicted her assertion that her group "ran with our heads down" from the plane to avoid sniper fire at the Tuzla Air Base.

Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for rival Sen. Barack Obama's campaign, said the Bosnia claim was part of "a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking.

Some are calling Hillary Clinton's account of her 1996 USO trip to war torn Bosnia as "embellishment." However, it's undeniable that Senator Hillary Clinton was not telling the truth in her detailed explanation of what happened the day she landed in Bosnia 12 years ago. Many are wondering why Senator Clinton who is running to become president and Commander-In-Chief would lie and try to turn "fiction" into "facts". Comedian Sinbad raised questions about the former First Lady's story when she told journalists how her trip was so dangerous she had to "duck sniper fire and run with their heads down" after their plane landed. Sinbad  joked  that the most dangerous part about their trip was wondering where they were going to eat next. A reporter asks Hillary Clinton about Sinbad's account of events. Hillary Clinton seems to question Sinbad's credibility and says ,"he's a comedian."

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

It's an unbelievable tale of heroism, written and directed by Mark J. Penn. The Baltimore Sun calls it a "whopper." "Four Pinocchios!" says the Washington Post. "Requires enormous suspension of disbelief" raves the Huffington Post.

Some are wondering if Hillary Clinton's campaign can survive SNIPERGATE '08 and if Hillary still has credibility in her argument about having experience after being caught in a bald-faced lie. Hillary' Clinton's victories in Texas and Ohio were contributed to her fear inducing 3 A.M. call ad campaign. The Pennsylvania Primary is on April 22nd. Discuss.

Finally, the Barack Obama campaign has found a big gun to help shoot down Hillary Rodham Clinton's self-proclaimed foreign policy experience. And he may be the wackiest gun of all: Sinbad, the actor, who has come out from under a rock to defend Obama in the war over foreign policy credentials.

Sinbad, along with singer Sheryl Crow, was on that 1996 trip to Bosnia that Clinton has described as a harrowing international experience that makes her tested and ready to answer a 3 a.m. phone call at the White House on day one, a claim for which she's taking much grief on the campaign trail.

Harrowing? Not that Sinbad recalls. He just remembers it being a USO tour to buck up the troops amid a much worse situation than he had imagined between the Bosnians and Serbs.

In an interview with the Sleuth Monday, he said the "scariest" part of the trip was wondering where he'd eat next. "I think the only 'red-phone' moment was: 'Do we eat here or at the next place.'"

Clinton, during a late December campaign appearance in Iowa, described a hair-raising corkscrew landing in war-torn Bosnia, a trip she took with her then-teenage daughter, Chelsea. "They said there might be sniper fire," Clinton said. Threat of bullets? Sinbad doesn't remember that, either.

"I never felt that I was in a dangerous position. I never felt being in a sense of peril, or 'Oh, God, I hope I'm going to be OK when I get out of this helicopter or when I get out of his tank.'" source

The girl who appeared in Senator Hillary Clinton's 3 AM call ad is a staunch supporter of the Barack Obama campaign and says,"It's really sort of ironic that my image would be used to advocate for Hillary when I myself do not." Some believe the scare tactics used in the ad campaign were the reason why Hillary Clinton won primaries in Texas and Ohio.

The tables set up for reporters nearly abutted the urinals. That made for a more spirited rush than usual for the best working space, with female reporters quickly staking out chairs on the small room's opposite side. source

Slate editors were able to find the uncanny similarities between the over zealous class highschool politician and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Don't you just hate when some upstart comes along and threatens your best-laid plans? We were struck by how well one of Reese Witherspoon's monologues from the film Election fits the narrative of Campaign 2008.

HILLARY CLINTON 3 AM CHILDREN NATIONAL SECURITY ATTACK AD BARACK OBAMA RESPONSE

There are only a few days left before the Texas and Ohio primaries. Senator Hillary Clinton has released a new campaign ad in Texas attacking Barack Obama on his inexperience with national security. Some political pundits are criticizing Hillary Clinton's decision to attack Senator Obama on this issue and believe it could backfire on her campaign. A classic example of how politicians use fear to get votes is when Lyndon B Johnson ran a controversial "Daisy Girl" ad in 1964. In the spot a young girl is playing in a field of daisies when a nuclear bomb detonates. Many have noted the similarites between Hillary Clinton's ad and the LBJ commercial and are calling it a desperate attempt for Hillary Clinton to stay in the race.  Hillary may have to drop out of the presidential race if she loses in Texas and Ohio.

Watch the commercial called Children which has also been dubbed the 3 A.M. phone call. A similar flashing red phone ad was run by Democratic candidate Walter Mondale in 1984.

Senator Barack Obama who is the presidential campaign front runner after winning 11 straight primaries gave the following response to the negative spot. He re-edited the Hillary Clinton commercial and added quotes and words to emphasize his "judgment and courage" in opposing the war in Iraq while showing his foresight when the nation was distracted by the Al Quaeda in Afghanistan.

CHICAGO – The Obama for America campaign today released the following advertisement in response to Senator Clinton's "3:00 AM" ad

During an appearance this morning at a veterans event in Houston, Obama responded to the Clinton ad. "We've seen these ads before," said Obama, according to the Post's Shailagh Murray. "They're the kind that play on peoples' fears to scare up votes." On a conference call this morning, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe dismissed the ad as a "shop-worn tactic" and struck back at Clinton in harsh tones. "Senator Clinton has already had her red-phone moment," he said, noting that not only had Clinton voted for the 2002 use-of-force resolution against Iraq but that she also "did not read the National Intelligence Estimate so she didn't do her homework either." As Obama has done throughout the campaign, Plouffe sought to draw a contrast between Clinton's experience and his candidate's judgment. "This is about what you say when you answer that phone, what kind of judgment you demonstrate," said Plouffe. source

Both Democratic candidates were invited to a televised debate in Wisconsin. Hillary said yes, Sen. Obama has not.

Tavis Smiley had invited Barack Obama to debate with Senator Hillary Clinton on his State of Black America Conference in Louisiana this week. Barack told Tavis he was too busy to attend the debate because he was campaigning for upcoming primaries, so he offered to allow his wife Michelle to attend in his place.  Well, Tavis wasn't happy to accept Barack Obama's Harvard Law Educated wife to  speak on his behalf, so Tavis withdrew his invitation and  uninvited Michelle saying she was not welcome at his event.  Listen to Barack Obama's Michelle Obama speak about talk show host Tavis Smiley.
