If a black or hispanic person had used the word lynch that would be absolutly hilarious. But if a white person uses the same words as a black or hispanic they are lynched! If a word is bad for one person to use then it is bad for ALL. Also more white people have been hung in this country than blacks and hispanics put together. Why do I keep saying Blacks and hispanics simple they are at least as guilty of racism as whites, and that is what this lynching of Kelly Tilghman is all about.

I would have to agree. The real "racism" is what whites can say and what blacks are able to get away with saying. The black community can use the "N" word and it's "part of their culture," but a white person says it, then it's racist and hurtful. It has always been a double standard and will continue to be as long as you have Sharpton and Jackson "representing" the balck community. To use an old saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will NEVER hurt me." It sounds like it's time to start living by this motto.

In life, there are mistakes and there are vicious attacks. The two are separated by whether or not there is malice intent. Anyone who views the golf channel regularly can see how classy Kelly Tilghman is...the heart appears very pure. I'm sure she is spending sleepless nights agonizing over mistaken words. Don't allow Sharpton to put her in the same league as the classless Don Imus. Tiger got this absolutely right...this is a non-issue.

there is absolutely no way that more whites than blacks have been hung in this country! And if so, the question is who has done the hanging. I will bet that it has been whites in both cases. You cannot use the n-word argument here. Blacks don't use the word lynch casually. And even if it is a double standard in what whites can and cannot say, that double standard is a result of the hatred they exhibited. what this young lady said was offensive, whether intentional or not. She should be more cautious especially in a sport where minorities are just beginning to be tolerated. She should not have been fired, but a suspension was warranted. To bad the suspension does nothing for the ignorance in her that birthed such a comment!
