ELLEN DEGENERES AND PORTIA DE ROSSI GET MARRIED WED IN BEVERLY HILLS

Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi have made it official and got married. The couple reportedly tied the knot in the backyard of their lavish 33 million dollar Beverly Hills estate.  We have only one thing to say to Ellen  and that is we hope she got a prenup. Remember when Ellen was dating Anne Heche? A JOYOUS Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres have wed in the backyard of their $33.5 million Beverly Hills estate.

Onlookers said the couple, who wed about 4pm local time, looked “ecstatic and couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces or their eyes off each other,” a witness said.

“Portia looked stunning, like a real fairytale princess.”

De Rossi, 35, wore a plunging halter-neck that exposed her entire back, with a cream bodice and full skirt to the ground in blush pink. Her hair was swept up off her face.  The Geelong-raised actor’s gown was reportedly by US designer Zac Posen.

DeGeneres, 50, wore a signature cream shirt, vest and pants combination.

After the intimate wedding in front of about 20 guests, the couple emerged from a marque for official photos.

The pair kissed and hugged the whole time as the official photographer took their picture.

A short interview for Ellen’s show followed the photos, with Ellen, her mother Betty and Portia and her own mother sitting on a backyard bench.

The couples’ two dogs – a white poodle and a black Labrador seemed as excited as the newlyweds, cavorting around the backyard among the guests.

As they wal;ked back to marque Ellen chivalrously swept up the train behind her new wife.

Dozens of paparazzi lines the surrounding hillsides security crews swept he area with binoculars.

A truck from LA celebrity florist Mark's Garden made deliveries throughout the day.

DeGeneres announced her plans to wed her longtime girlfriend on her talk show in May, shortly after California's Supreme Court ruled the ban on gay marriages was unconstitutional.

"I can't wait to be married. I feel it is long overdue," DeGeneres said. source

Ellen DeGeneres gave Portia de Rossi a glittering ring with pink diamonds for their upcoming wedding that will air in part on DeGeneres's talk show.

"We have set a wedding date," said DeGeneres, who walked the red carpet with de Rossi at Friday night's 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

De Rossi wore a green satin Lanvin gown and a Neil Lane ring on her wedding finger. The ring was a marquis cut diamond set with pink diamonds.

DeGeneres, 50, who won an Emmy for outstanding talk-show host for the fourth year in a row, announced her plans to wed longtime girlfriend de Rossi, on her show back in May, shortly after California's Supreme Court ruled the previous ban on gay marriages as unconstitutional.

The two stars are in the midst of preparations for what DeGeneres calls "the dream wedding."

"Planning a wedding is very stressful," says DeGeneres. "It is crazy. My gardener is now invited." source

ELLEN AND PORTIA DE ROSSI GETTING MARRIED

Ellen DeGeneres plans to wed longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi, she announced during a taping of her show Thursday. In the episode, airing Friday (the news was first reported by TMZ), DeGeneres revealed the big news and told the crowd, "I'm very excited." The announcement immediately followed the news that California's Supreme Court struck down a law banning gay marriage. source

Our advice to Ellen is she had better get a pre-nup. Ellen is the one with all the bank in her relationship with Portia and has the most to lose if she doesn't have a prenuptial agreement to protect her assets. Remember that nasty public breakup she had with Anne Heche after the pair came out publicly as the lesbian "It" couple? 

Heche's relationship with comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and the events following their breakup became subjects of widespread media interest. The couple started dating in 1997 shortly after the famous "Puppy Episode" of DeGeneres' eponymous sitcom. At one point, the two said they would get a civil union if such became legal in Vermont. source

If Anne Heche had married  Ellen Degeneres then she probably wouldn't be so broke now. TMZ reports that Anne Heche is saying she's broke during her custody hearing with her ex-husband. Anne Heche is now dating her 'Men in Trees' co-star James Tupper. We wonder how long this relationship is going to last.
