UPDATE: TICKETS TO THE ELEW SHOW ARE SOLD OUT!
Recently, master pianist Eric Lewis, aka ELEW, attended the TED Conference (Technology, Entertainment, Design), an event that brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk or performance of their lives. This year, ELEW had the honor of being one of these luminaries, and all in attendance were blown away by his trademark brand of piano-driven innovation.
Among this mass of new fans was fashion designer Donna Karan, who invited ELEW to play live at her runway show for the Fall 2009 Collections in New York City. On Monday the 16th at Stephan Weiss Studio in the West Village, ELEW provided a unique live soundtrack for the exhibition of Donna Karan New York. The room was filled with panoramic video screens that—thanks to a camera trained on his hands—provided the powerhouse crowd with a close-up view of ELEW’s technique. On March 1st, ELEW and his virtuosic band are coming to Joe’s Pub in New York City for one set only! Click here to buy tickets on the Joe's Pub website.
This past Friday, at an exclusive pre-Oscar party, held at a private estate in the Hollywood hills, Eric Lewis, aka ELEW, entertained a crowd made up of the biggest luminaries in the worlds of politics, fashion, media, and entertainment, including: Harvey Weinstein, Rupert and Wendi Murdoch, Donna Karan, Barbra Streisand, David Geffen, Michael Douglas, Diane Von Furstenberg, Brett Ratner, Barry Diller, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Oprah Winfrey and Hugh Jackman, among many others.
