Earning a total of 162 million dollars between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008, Beyonce Knowles and hubby Jay-Z are Hollywood’’s Top-Earning Couple.

The star couple pipped Will Smith and his actress wife Jada Pinkett Smith, both of whom bank 85 million dollars, to nab the number one crown by Forbes magazine.

BEYONCE NAMED SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE 2008 STYLE STAR OF THE YEAR

Beyonce was named The 2008 "Style Star of the Year." Beyonce attended the unveiling of her Seventeen Magazine cover of the December/January issue which is on newstands now. Congrats Bey!

Beyonce stopped by Bloomingdales to promote her House of Dereon collection with her mother Tina Knowles. Lucky shoppers who bought a dress from the collection also received  autographed copies of the Cadillac Records soundtrack weeks before its official release. The biopic starring Beyonce as soul singer Etta James hits theaters on December 5th.

Rap-Up.com attended an exclusive press listening for Beyoncé’s third album I Am… last week at CineSpace in Los Angeles where Mathew Knowles played the double-disc LP and hinted at the follow-up singles to “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).”

On the Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) and Beyoncé-produced second pop single “Halo,” the 27-year-old sings about her knight in shining armor (Hov?): “Baby I can see your halo / You know you’re my saving grace / You’re everything I need and more / It’s written all over your face.”

The ballad features heavy drums, claps, piano, and strong vocals from B. “Halo” was written by Beyoncé, Tedder, and E. Kidd Bogart. The entire first disc, I Am… Beyoncé, contains acoustic ballads in the same vein as “Halo.”

While pop radio will be serviced with “Halo,” urban radio will get “Ego.” Beyoncé kicks it old school on the uptempo throwback R&B jam off I Am… Sasha Fierce produced and written by the singer, Elvis “BlacElvis” Williams, and Harold Lilly (Alicia Keys’ “You Don’t Know My Name”). Loud trumpets and organs infiltrate the funky track, which was a favorite among the media present. source

BEYONCE DISHES ON "I AM SASHA FIERCE" ALTER EGO FINALLY SAYS "I AM MARRIED" TO JAY-Z

Beyonce wants everyone to know that you may think her birth name is Bey but she really is Sasha Fierce. It sounds like Beyonce is suffering from a bit of a multiple personality disorder like Britney Spears.   Why does she need to make a name change to be known as "Sasha Fierce" at this stage in her career? She has earned her fame,fortune and superstar status as Beyonce Knowles. Beyonce has also set up a fictional  myspace page for her Sasha Fierce alter ego. Country singer Garth Brooks used a multiple personality marketing gimmick in 1999 to sell his alter ego album "Garth Brooks...in the Life of Chris Gaines."

Beyonce was spotted outside 1OAK at Diddy's L'Umo magazine cover party with her husband Jay-Z. Eve, Cassidy and Tracey Morgan were also at the party.

Beyonce made another announcement when she finally admitted in public that she is married to Jay-Z.  That's right Beyonce is married. Beyonce made the official announcement at her album listening session. We will love Beyonce no matter what name she decides to use. We just wonder if her marriage is going to have the "Usher effect" on her album sales. Marriage sometimes puts a wrinkle in the sex symbol status of high profile celebrities. Let's face it Beyonce has been successful because she is a beautiful woman and girls want to be her while men want to fantasize about the possibility of being with her.

Unfortunately, Beyonce didn't look like a happy newlywed when she was snapped by the paps with her hubby Jay-Z. Maybe she needs to put on her Sasha Fierce persona to flash a smile. Beyonce is scheduled to tour with her sister Solange Knowles in April 2009.

Just like the "Seinfeld" episode where George wanted everyone to call him "T-Bone," Beyonce Knowles would like to be known by a bold new name.    

The R&B singer has christened herself "Sasha Fierce" for her new double album, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," due in U.S. stores on November 18, and has released a lengthy justification for the comical moniker.

Additionally, she has set up a cryptic MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/sashafierce) that gives a "lucky person" the opportunity to receive a personal message and a gift bag valued at $500.

The former Destiny's Child member, who releases her third solo album, I Am… Sasha Fierce on Nov. 18, said in a statement Tuesday, "I have someone else that takes over when it's time for me to work and when I'm on stage, this alter ego that I've created that kind of protects me and who I really am."

Her alter ego has far fewer inhibitions than Beyoncé Knowles herself, said the Grammy Award winner. "Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I'm working and when I'm on the stage." Of the double album itself, which features the No. 1 iTunes hit "If I Were Boy," Beyoncé, 27, said it "allows me to take more risks and really step out of myself, or shall I say, step more into myself, and reveal a side of me that people [who] only know me see."  One of those who knows her best is rapper/mogul Jay-Z, 38, whom she wed in April.
