New movies now playing this week in theaters are Terminator Salvation, Night at the Museum, The Wayans Comedy Spoof "Dance Flick" and Oscar winning director Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience". The Oscar nominated the film "The Garden" is opening in additional theaters this week.
The summer box office race is heating up. Sci Fi films are dominating the theaters. Star Trek, Wolverine and now Terminator.
All of the above movies are either sequels or prequels. This is one reason I like Indie Films, lots of originality.
Terminator Salvation has the controversy of Christian Bale's outburst on the set. Not that controversy will bring out more movie goers. However, for two or three days Bale's tirade was all over the news. All publicity is good publicity .
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, has the momentum of
the first film being a big hit, (which T3 wasn't) and it has Ben
Stiller. In some of Stiller's early work, his characters tended to
have the same attitude. Zoolander and his character in Dodgeball, White
Goodman are very similar in personality, and attitude. Stiller has a
huge body of work, most of it very good. Night at the Museum is one of
his best films. It will do well. [EXAMINER]

Great to see a famil-oriented movie in Museum lead the way. These movies still do exist and are actually popular.

I loved it. I thought it did justice to the series, and I now cannot wait for the following films.
