Pink has done it again. The singer started out in R&B but kept her fans after transitioning to become a full fledged rockstar.
Pink's new music video is likely to shock some viewers due to the special effects involved to show her engaged in some steamy girl-on-girl action with herself. The lyrics are pretty powerful and show the singer's candor about her personal struggle with sobriety.
I'm safe
Up high
Nothing can touch me
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain
Inside
You're my protection
But how do I feel this good sober?
I don't wanna be the girl who has to fill the silence...
The quiet scares me 'cause it screams the truth
Please don't tell me that we had that conversation
When I won't remember, save your breath, 'cause what's the use?
Pink has admitted to having checked herself into rehab to treat her problem with alcohol and substance abuse.
Pink has admitted that earlier this year she thought she may be an alcoholic, and even checked herself into a health centre in the Summer to get help.
The singer, who is currently number one in both the UK and US with her So What single, could be heard saying: "A few months ago, I went to see a specialist because I thought I was an alcoholic.
"I have a problem with my vices. I've kicked the drugs, but every now and then I have to go out and get completely wasted on alcohol."
"I checked into Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona, in the summer and I went to see a therapist, telling him I was an alcoholic."
"He asked me when I'd had my last drink and I couldn't remember," reveals Pink, "it had been a few weeks previously."
"I then read the AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) manual cover to cover and we talked. I realised I wasn't an alcoholic, just someone who likes to get drunk every now and again. I'm trying to work out if that's a bad thing." source
