BEYONCE NAMED SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE 2008 STYLE STAR OF THE YEAR

Beyonce was named The 2008 "Style Star of the Year." Beyonce attended the unveiling of her Seventeen Magazine cover of the December/January issue which is on newstands now. Congrats Bey!

R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress Beyonce Knowles is widely known for her powerful singing voice and formidable fashion sense, and 2008 may have been one of her busiest years yet! She was cast and filmed as Etta James in the upcoming movie Cadillac Records, got married to legendary hip hop artist Jay-Z, and just released her new album I Am ... Sasha Fierce.  I'm tired just thinking about her hectic life!  But she took some time to sit down with Seventeen magazine and gave us some words of wisdom. On feeling competitive with other artists while recording her new double-album, I Am ... Sasha Fierce, she says, "I feel like I'm my competition. I don't try to compete with other people.
