Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie broke down in tears when she spoke about her late mother at a Changeling press conference in the UK. Angelina's mother Marcheline Bertrand passed away last year from cancer. Angelina was talking about her role in the Changeling which is generating Oscar buzz about a mother whose son is kidnapped and never returned home. Angelina cries and breaks down in tears when she thinks about her late mother who is the inspiration for the dramatic role. We are so sad for your loss Angie.
Angelina always spoke fondly about her mother who was also her best friend. Angelina and I both attended NYU film school together after she had shaved her head for her Golden Globe winning role as bisexual supermodel Gia Carangi. At that time Angelina was considering quiting acting and leaving Hollywood. We are glad Angelina decided to stay in the film business and become the biggest movie star on the planet. Angelina's work as UN Goodwill Ambassador has also helped people around the world live a better life. I will always remember the happy times and fond memories you shared about your mother who was a remarkable woman. Thankfully she was able to see you as a successful woman who is happy with a beautiful and loving family. Your mother is smiling down from heaven and happy for the people you have helped. We send our heartfelt condolences Angelina.
Angelina used sense memory during her Oscar winning performance in Girl Interrupted. Watch a scene where Angelina calls out for her brother James "Jamie" Haven.
Actress Angelina Jolie welled up with tears as she talked about her late mother at a press conference for her new film 'Changeling' in London on Monday, even cursing as she welled up (the word "fuck" is muted in the video below). Her mom Marcheline died of cancer early last year.
'We used to call her Marshmallow, as a joke, because she was just the softest, most gentle woman in the world.
'She was really sweet and was never angry - she couldn't swear to save her life. But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this (film) is very much her, her story.
