Binside TV: KERRY KATONA "DRUNK" TV APPEARANCE GETS HUSBAND KICKED OFF THIS MORNING SET AFTER FIGHT WITH HOST PHILLIP SCHOFIELD

Kerry Katona claims she wasn't drunk during her Live television appearance promoting her MTV One series Whole Again on ITV This Morning. Now there is more news that her husband Mark Croft was kicked off the set for confronting the television host. Television host Phillip Schofield showed concern for the reality star and asked her if she was "okay" because her speech was slurred and viewers called in to ask how Kerry was doing.

The former Atomic Kitten star slurred her words and looked frequently around the studio calling for her husband Mark Croft during the interview with Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.

She was appearing on the show to discuss her recent cosmetic surgery.

At one point Schofield asked her: "You don't seem right to me, you've got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?"

Katona glanced off camera and seemed shocked as she asked: "Is it?"

She then admitted her speech may be slurred but said it was because she was taking prescription drugs.

"That's because I'm on medication at night-time," she said. source

"I had some last night, didn't I Mark?" she asked as she tried to look for her husband among the crew behind the camera.

Security guards were forced to remove Kerry Katona’s husband from This Morning's studios after a bitter showdown with host Phillip Schofield, it has emerged.

The bust up followed the former Atomic Kitten's disastrous meltdown on live television on Wednesday, during which she slurred her way through an interview with Schofield and co-host Fern Britton.

Mark Croft sparked the backstage row, sources confirm to MailOnline, with the former cab driver screaming: 'You stitched her up,' at the startled presenter.
From the couple's Cheshire home, Croft last night branded Schofield a 'f****** idiot.'

For his part, Schofield put the blame squarely on Croft for allowing Katona to go through with the interview in her state.

He said: 'Unfortunately she set herself up, or she was set up by the person who brought her in.

'In my mind she shouldn’t be paraded on television - she should be taken home and loved up and cared for.'

He added: 'What I would have to say is that if you are concerned about your wife - as he obviously is - and you are the person who has accompanied her in a car to bring her into a television studio, and you notice that particular morning her medication or whatever is having an effect on her speech, sure you shouldn't bring her into the studio.'

Croft denied speculation his wife was under the influence of alcohol during the appearance, insisting her behaviour was a result of prescription medication.

Schofield said producers were unaware of Katona's condition before going to air, and denied the presenters 'ambushed' her.

He explained: 'She arrived very late and didn't give anyone any time to sit down and talk to her. source
