KERRY KATONA SAYS SHE WASN'T DRUNK WATCH THIS MORNING ITV APPEARANCE VIDEO

Kerry Katona caused many people to be concerned during Live appearance on the popular television show "This Morning." Kerry appeared with slurred speech and a sluggish disposition which prompted the television hosts to ask her if she was doing well. Kerry didn't like the impromptu intervention.

The former Atomic Kitten star slurred her words and looked frequently around the studio calling for her husband Mark Croft during the interview with Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.

She was appearing on the show to discuss her recent cosmetic surgery.

At one point Schofield asked her: "You don't seem right to me, you've got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?"

Katona glanced off camera and seemed shocked as she asked: "Is it?"

She then admitted her speech may be slurred but said it was because she was taking prescription drugs.

"That's because I'm on medication at night-time," she said.

"I had some last night, didn't I Mark?" she asked as she tried to look for her husband among the crew behind the camera. source

The reality star is now insisting she wasn't drunk. Her husband Mark even posted a statement on the MTV website that Kerry has on sipped some tea before her appearance on the show.

Hosts Phil and Fern asked MTV’s reality star about her slurring and asked if she had an addiction.

Reports have since suggested that she was drunk during the interview and that she is ‘out of control’.

Speaking exclusively to MTV News Kerry’s husband Mark Croft said: “Due to the TV commitments Kerry had last night, Kerry was four hours late in taking her medication for an ongoing bi polar condition.

“One of the side effects of her drugs is slurred speech and as Kerry took the drugs late and was up early it was particularly bad today. Kerry would like to categorically state for the record that that the only thing she drank before the show was cups of tea.

“Having answered the questions to the best of her ability, Kerry was upset at the insinuation that she was on anything other than the prescription drugs which she has always been honest about taking.”

Poor recovering addict Kerry looks like she is on something and tea does not come to mind.

The singer's slurred words prompted host Phillip Schofield to say: "You don't seem right to me... Your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?"

Katona seemed surprised by the question, but blamed prescription drugs she had taken to help her sleep.

Publicist Max Clifford said he was "increasingly concerned" for Katona.

"There's no way she should have been allowed to do that show," the singer's publicist told Radio 1 Newsbeat.

"Had I been with her, she wouldn't have done," he added.

"I must admit after today and in view of what's gone on over the last couple of months, I am increasingly concerned for her health and happiness."

Katona's husband Mark Croft has since posted a statement on the MTV website.

He explained that the slurred speech had been "particularly bad" because Katona had taken her prescription drugs four hours late on Tuesday night.

"Kerry would like to categorically state for the record that that the only thing she drank before the show was cups of tea," he added.

"Having answered the questions to the best of her ability, Kerry was upset at the insinuation that she was on anything other than the prescription drugs which she has always been honest about taking."

An ITV spokesperson said Katona arrived late on set before her live interview.

"Sometimes with live television you don't get a huge amount of time with guests," he said.

He said the few people who had spent time with her before she went on had "no cause for concern" but it was only when she was in the studio that her "speech appeared slurred". source

i feel for her, i have taken medications for the same condition that have had the exact same effect for several hours later and have frequently been considered drunk when i have not had alcohol for many months. i sincerely hope that this passes and offer my support to kerry in what seems to be a single minded attack.
