Hillary Clinton refused to back down or give up the fight after Barack Obama clinched the Democratic Nomination for president. Hillary Clinton offended many people during the end of her political campaign when she made a comment during an interview that she was staying in the presidential race because Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June.

Today her concession speech represents the moment that many political leaders in the Democratic party had been waiting for since Barack Obama took the lead in delegates. Sen. Clinton took the a step towards uniting the Democratic party after a long and very bitter primary season saying, "I throw my full support behind" Sen. Obama.

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) ended her historic quest to become America's first woman president Saturday and officially conceded the Democratic nomination to Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL).
During her concession speech, in Washington's National Building Museum in front of a crowd of thousands, the former first lady urged her supporters to do everything they can to help elect Obama, her former rival, all the way to the White House as the next president.
