Oscar winning screenwriter/director, Roger Avary, who penned Pulp Fiction, The Rules of Attraction and BeoWulf was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and felony DUI after a fatal car crash left Andreas Zini dead. Roger Avary was driving in Ojai, Calif. early Sunday morning when the accident occurred, throwing wife Gretchen from the car and killing Andreas Zini, a friend visiting from Italy. Zini died later Sunday morning from "internal injuries." Avary's wife was in stable condition as of Sunday night.The Ventura County Sheriff's Department said that Avary was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
