Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew premiered on VH1. Celebrity rehab has been in the headlines alot lately. Britney Spears went to rehab a few times before checking in to a facility. Lohan spent pretty much all of 2007 in rehab. She stayed at three facilities last year.
The show is supposed to help the celebrities with treatment for their various drug and substance abuse problems. But one must ask at what point is it helping to film the celebs abusing drugs? Seth “Shifty” Binzer, the lead singer from Crazytown who wrote and sang the smash hits “Butterfly” and “Starry Eyed Surprise,” is shown in the opening scenes of the show talking to the camera saying "This is why I'm gonna probably die" and smoking on a crack pipe.
Actor Jeff Conaway who starred on Taxi and with John Travolta in 'Grease' is also shown snorting various drugs. Jeff stuggles to talk, he has lost motor function in his legs and checks in for rehab the following morning slumped over in his car clutching a bottle of Dom Perignon. Dr. Drew asks him. "What did you do to yourself last night?" Jeff replys. "Some cocaine...some Jack Daniels." Dr. Drew takes his blood pressure and calmly responds. "When did the alcohol and the cocaine kick in so big? Jeff's answer to his question. "Well, it was after everybody accused me of being a drug addict, I said...Well you know what... I might as well do it." Huh? These people have serious addiction problems and should get help without the cameras around them. Ex-American Idol Contestant Jessica Sierra is one of the celebrity rehab participants who has received coverage for her drug problems and recent arrest. Watching people going through addiction withdrawals, vomiting and consuming copious amounts of drugs and alcohol should not be considered, "must see tv". Also appearing on the show are Jessica Sierra, Brigitte Nielsen, Wrestler Chyna, Daniel Baldwin, Porn Star Mary Carey and Family Matters childstar Jaimee Foxworth. Watch the premiere episode. HI JEFF WE HAVE SOME SIMLER PROBLEMS I TOO AM AN ADICT AND ALSO IN LOVE WITH ONE.I AM IN LOTS OF PAIN I HAVE HAD 2 KNEE SURGERIES AND I HAVE A TOHORN AKILIES TENDONT WICH I JUST HAD SURGERY FOR.I WAS OF NARCOTICES BUT IT RIGHT BACK AT IT AFTER SURGERY.WEATHER YOU KNOW THIS OR NOT YOU INSPIRE ME EVERY TIME I WATCH YOU .I FEEL YOUR PAIN AND DOCOTORS KEEP SAYING SURGERY AND IT DOES NOT HELP ITS A BIG CIRCLE WHO DO YOU BELIVE AND IF WE ARE UNDER THE DRUG CAN WE EVEN BELIVE ARE SELF.I PUT MY BOYFRIEND IN REHABE AND I STOPED ALL DRUGS COMING IN THIS HOUSE BUT SOME HOW WE END UP AT SQUAR ONE ALL OVER.YOU ARE A STAR AND ALLWAYS WILL BE MABY KNOW AN EVEN BRITER ONE IMAGEN GOING THROUGH WITH NO HELP OR MONEY AND BEING A SINGLE PARENT AND HAVING TO KEEP UP AND BE STREIGHT YOUR SELF .I SEE HOW YOU DEAL WITH PAIN AND HAET AKE AND I AM LEARNING A LOT PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WE DID NOT BECAUME ADICITED OVER NIGHT AND ITS GOING TO TAKE LONGER THAN THAT TO GET BETTER I WILL PRAY FOR ALL OF US GOOD BLESS

Mr. Conway, it really hurts me to see you walk in so much pain!You dont have to walk or live that way...i want to share a word of encouragement!There is hope!You have tried medicine, therapy and yet nothing has satisfied you or has helped you know that you are free!!!!You should already know that there is something far greater and more powerful than anything else!And that is God!Jesus Christ!Who took your sickness and burdens upon himself so that YOU!wont live through that!Remember that God doesnt look for religion!You can say you're Christian, Catholic ..whatever!but when we stand before him he's not going to ask "what religion were you!?"No!Hes going to ask "Did you believe in me? In my son?my promises?did you ever speak to me?or try to hear from me?and most importantly...did you receive my love and trust me!Trust me to set you free and show you thE plans i had predestined for you????...with my love its never too late!"So, if you were to stand before God and he says "Why should i let you into my kingdom?"You cant say "But God!No one told me!"Because he will turn and say "Remember that time that this woman took the time to share what ive been trying to tell you?That was your chance!But you or the person ignoring this chose not 2 listen!"Remember that Jesus loves you and doesnt condemn however,restores!!!!!IM leaving you with a scripture that i pray speaks life and hope to you!
