SPLITSVILLE FOR MADONNA AND GUY RITCHIE COUPLE GETTING A DIVORCE?
There are reports that Madonna and her hubby director Guy Ritchie are officially calling it quits and getting divorced. The couple may have grown so far apart that the collapse of their marriage has lead to the two sleeping in separate rooms.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie's marriage is close to collapsing, with reports surfacing that the couple sleep in separate rooms, and pals fearing that the two are "like ships passing in the night." The pop queen and her director hubby had a romantic three-day break together in Milan, Italy, but slept in separate rooms.
While they were there Guy, 39, spent most of his time working on a new commercial with Hollywood star George Clooney. And Madge, 49, visited fashion designers to arrange costumes for her forthcoming tour. "They had completely separate rooms, schedules, everything. It is all very well organized but it's not a marriage the way most people understand it," The Sun quoted a source, as saying. "They have this attitude like 'we're not really a couple but we're friends and we love each other and raise our kids. But the truth is they p*** each other off, don't agree on anything, don't see each other or live 'together' as they did. They are like ships passing in the night," the source added.
After three days in Milan, Madonna jetted over to New York to rejoin kids Lourdes, ten, Rocco, six, and adopted two-year-old David. The source added: "Most couples would have made the most of the romantic city but there was hardly any contact between them. Madonna quickly flew back to NY to join her kids." source.
Madonna may be hiring Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer Fiona Shackelton to protect her massive fortune estimated to be worth $600 million dollars. Forbes released a "Cash Queens" list that takes a look at the top-earning female musicians earning big bucks between June 2006 and June 2007.
Madonna topped the magazine's annual Cash Queens of Music list. She's named the highest-earning woman in music with $72 million.
She did it for Macca — now she can do it for Madonna. Fiona Shackleton, the divorce lawyer who ensured that Sir Paul McCartney retained all but £24.3 million of his £825 million fortune, has been lined up by the 49-year-old pop star.
Madonna, whose fortune is estimated at £300 million, is understood to be seeking legal advice on a possible divorce from her husband of seven years, the film director Guy Ritchie.
Ms Shackleton, 52, is the lawyer of choice for the rich and famous after what was regarded as the spectacularly well-handled split of Sir Paul from Heather Mills, who was pushing at one point for as much as £80 million. source
Are Madonna and Guy Ritchie on the rocks for real?
The couple of seven years are planning to split in November after Madonna's world tour wraps, Britain's The Mirror newspaper reports.
"They're obviously sad but they're dealing with it like grown-ups," a friend of the couple said. "Things have just run their natural course."
The twosome, who are not often photographed together in public, are parents to Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and David, 2.
"They live like brother and sister rather than husband and wife and thought it best to call it a day," the friend said.
The couple have been plagued with break-up rumors for years. Eyebrows were raised in March when Ritchie failed to attend his wife's induction to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Madonna's publicist later said the two talked on the phone after the ceremony. source
