SARAH JESSICA PARKER AT SEX IN THE CITY PREMIERE MOVIE GETS MIXED REVIEWS |SJP VOGUE COVER

Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of the SITC cast attended the London Premiere of Sex in the City. Singer Kelly Rowland  also attended the red carpet premiere and she looked stunning.

We have to ask what the heck is that thing on top of Sarah Jessica Parker's head? It looks like someone took a giant acorn and just went crazy sticking flowers and butterflies into it. The New York Post plastered a photo of Sarah Jessica Parker wearing the the headline "Mad Hatter of Sex & The City".

The photo of Parker on the front is wholly unflattering, as the star has her mouth wide open and a maniacal look in her eyes. The headline—"Mad Hatter of 'Sex and the City'"—doesn't help much either. And let's not even get into that aforementioned hideous hat perched atop her head. Yes, it is an acorn with a giant rose bloom and butterflies. In lime green. And it probably cost more than what most New Yorkers make in a month. source

Sex and the City movie premiered in England with much fanfare - but not without some mixed reviews.

As the film debuted in London on Monday, some critics chimed in with their thoughts on the big-screen, New York adventures of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon.

The Times of London was not overly impressed. Writes the Times reviewer, "There may be a problem with stretching Sex and the City into a two hour and twenty minute film - it can feel like a never ending dinner party: however pleasant the courses, after a while you can hardly eat another one. None of these problems seemed apparent to the women who sat around me in the cinema in Leicester Square, laughing and weeping in quick succession."

The Daily Telegraph of London expresses a more positive sentiment: "It was coarse, sentimental, and outrageously materialistic - just as we hoped and expected it would be."

The New York Daily News had given 'Sex and the City, The Movie' four stars, as reviewer Colin Bertram wrote: "The real joy of 'SATC' as a movie lies in the return of all those things that mass television syndication has stripped from the series in the intervening years. The 'Oh, my God, they did not just do that!' moments, the nudity, the swearing, the unabashed love of human frailty and downright wackiness."

'Sex' will be shown in Berlin on Thursday before opening in New York on May 27 at Radio City Music Hall. source
