HILLARY CLINTON LIES ABOUT BOSNIA TRIP CLAIMS SHE MISSPOKE WHEN SAYING SHE DUCKED DANGEROUS SNIPER FIRE IN TUZLA

CNN reports Sen. Hillary Clinton said she "misspoke" last week when she gave a dramatic description of her arrival in Bosnia 12 years ago, recounting a landing under sniper fire.

Clinton was responding to a question Monday from the Philadelphia Daily News' editorial board about video footage of the event that contradicted her assertion that her group "ran with our heads down" from the plane to avoid sniper fire at the Tuzla Air Base.

Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for rival Sen. Barack Obama's campaign, said the Bosnia claim was part of "a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking.

Some are calling Hillary Clinton's account of her 1996 USO trip to war torn Bosnia as "embellishment." However, it's undeniable that Senator Hillary Clinton was not telling the truth in her detailed explanation of what happened the day she landed in Bosnia 12 years ago. Many are wondering why Senator Clinton who is running to become president and Commander-In-Chief would lie and try to turn "fiction" into "facts". Comedian Sinbad raised questions about the former First Lady's story when she told journalists how her trip was so dangerous she had to "duck sniper fire and run with their heads down" after their plane landed. Sinbad  joked  that the most dangerous part about their trip was wondering where they were going to eat next. Some are wondering if Hillary Clinton's campaign can survive SNIPERGATE '08 and if Hillary still has credibility in her argument about having experience after being caught in a bald-faced lie. Hillary' Clinton's victories in Texas and Ohio were contributed to her fear inducing 3 A.M. call ad campaign. The Pennsylvania Primary is on April 22nd. Discuss.

Finally, the Barack Obama campaign has found a big gun to help shoot down Hillary Rodham Clinton's self-proclaimed foreign policy experience. And he may be the wackiest gun of all: Sinbad, the actor, who has come out from under a rock to defend Obama in the war over foreign policy credentials.

Sinbad, along with singer Sheryl Crow, was on that 1996 trip to Bosnia that Clinton has described as a harrowing international experience that makes her tested and ready to answer a 3 a.m. phone call at the White House on day one, a claim for which she's taking much grief on the campaign trail.

Harrowing? Not that Sinbad recalls. He just remembers it being a USO tour to buck up the troops amid a much worse situation than he had imagined between the Bosnians and Serbs.

In an interview with the Sleuth Monday, he said the "scariest" part of the trip was wondering where he'd eat next. "I think the only 'red-phone' moment was: 'Do we eat here or at the next place.'"

Clinton, during a late December campaign appearance in Iowa, described a hair-raising corkscrew landing in war-torn Bosnia, a trip she took with her then-teenage daughter, Chelsea. "They said there might be sniper fire," Clinton said. Threat of bullets? Sinbad doesn't remember that, either.

"I never felt that I was in a dangerous position. I never felt being in a sense of peril, or 'Oh, God, I hope I'm going to be OK when I get out of this helicopter or when I get out of his tank.'" source

Embellishment? What person would let his wife and 16 year old daughter enter a war zone and be exposed to sniper fire? No one would. The idea is laughable, yet it was written into her stump speech. What were they thinking? I am guessing they figured the compliant press would not do its job as was often the case in the past. It is amazing to me that the spinners are giving her the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to a faulty memory. You think you would remember running from sniper fire. She said it the first time she misspoke in 12 years; that might come back to haunt Hillary "Mount Everest-Not" Clinton.

She was asked about the sniper remark four times and she stood by her remarks each time.

There were 4000 armed men, Navy SEALS, Secret Service, 40 tanks, and attack helicopters overhead. As one military man said, “There was nobody coughing the day she showed up”. It is insulting to those protecting her.
